Cluinnidh sinn bho Ange NicIllebhraighe agus Tearlach MacGilleBhrath mun an obair a rinn iad còmhla a' cruinneachadh ainmean-àite agus sgeulachdan anns an Àird agus Rubha Shlèite, a bharrachd air an obair-ealain a rinn Ange co-cheangailte riutha.
Bidh cothrom ann coimhead air cuid de na h-ainmean-àite ann am Breacais agus cuiridh sinn ainmean ri mapa againn fhèin. Bidh strùpag ann, agus 's dòcha port no dhà cuideachd!

Join us for a bilingual event (Gaelic & English) looking at place names and mapping. We will be joined by Ange and Charlie MacGillivray, who both live in Aird of Sleat. Over a number of years, Ange worked with her incredibly knowledgable father in-law and Aird native, to gather place-names and stories from Aird and the Point of Sleat. Ange was inspired to create artwork around these. We will hear from Ange and Charlie about their work, and some of the stories behind the place names as well as seeing some of Ange's artwork.
Then, we will look at Breakish and there will be the opportunity to map some of our own Breakish place names. You can create a map of your own if you like, too!

There will be tea and coffee, and perhaps a few tunes..

Donations welcome at the door. All donations will go towards providing future Talla Bhreacais @ 100 events & the exhibition planned for spring 2027.
